The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

Hey guys, this is Abi here,
And today I am doing a book tag!
"The Joy of Christmas Book Tag" was only recently created, by Novels and Nonsense, and it just seems perfect, so let's go, I sincerely hope you enjoy it!

The Joy of Christmas Book Tag
1. Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?
There are quite a few books that I can't wait to see released, but two books that I specifically can't wait to see be released are 1) Passenger, by Alexandra Bracken, which is about time travellers, and it looks really interesting, to be honest. And the second one that I am really anticipating is the second book in the Demon Road series, by Derek Landy. This book, it has been revealed, that it is called Desolation, and it is released in March 2016. (Passenger is released sometime in February). And as you can probably tell, Demon Road is about demons.

2. Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing it's praises?
I can't help but sing the praises of of Teri Terry, who is the author of the Slated trilogy (consists of Slated, Fractured and Shattered), and Mind Games (and Dangerous Games, but apparently that isn't part of the series, but kind of is) and every time I read one of her books, I can just jump in without knowing too much about them, just because I am that confident that it going to be fantastic, and I don't think I've been wrong yet.

3. Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world building?
I have to say J. K Rowling's Harry Potter world, because th e is no world to compare against that one.

4. A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read
For this one I am actually going to do both, because although I don't read a whole lot of classics, I do really enjoy them. So, my favourite classic is Heidi, by far, although I do love Black Beauty as well. Heidi is just a beautiful story and even though I read this story like at least 4 years ago, I can still remember the storyline and the characters as if I read it yesterday, that is how much it has stuck with me.
I can't believe I haven't read this book yet! That book is "To Kill A Mockingbird", by Harper Lee, and I just need to read this book, no question about it.

5. Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas
I don't really want to receive a particular book for Christmas, I tend to just ask for Waterstones vouchers, and people just buy me Waterstones vouchers because both sides are always like "I would really give you a voucher so you can decide which book you want yourself, instead of getting you a book your not really interested in", and I'm the same. So, yeah.

6. Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling
This one is kinda tricky, because my mind is in two camps. Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell, okay? And The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green. I mean, the dialogue in the Fault In Our Stars counteracts what the reader and the characters are going through in the story, but Fangirl is just so cute, with the gingerbread lattes and the conversations with Cath and Levi. No, I can't choose, don't make me choose.

7. Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?
Favourite book covers have got to be the Throne of Glass series. Without a doubt.

8. Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?
One thing that I love about Christmas is Late Night Shopping. Let me explain. Late Night Shopping is well, when all the shops in town are open late, and there's this big event that have rides and these incredible stalls. It's like Harborough's way of showing all the other towns and places that we can also have festivals. Like some places have the Scarecrow Event, but we have Late Night Shopping. It's the event that says "Christmas is here", and the atmosphere is just absolutely exhilarating, and it's one of my favourite events of the year.

So, that was "The Joy of Christmas Book Tag", and I hope you enjoyed it! I'll link the original video below.

Thanks, and goodbye!
